At JKG, we adopt technology in every aspects of education. To support that we have
a comprehensive infrastructure for learning that enables us to move beyond the traditional
model of education and students.
It is widely accepted that we need to shift our focus from traditional chalk & board,
models, charts to value oriented learning. Good learning outcome can be achieved
only when we try to make possible what is considered impossible. The use of innovative
teaching methods aim at grooming global citizens of tomorrow. Different activities
in INTERACT CLUB & ECO CLUB shape students to deal with global issues like-Deforestation,
Polio eradication, Environmental problems etc. We do celebrate National & International
days & events in a grand manner within the school campus.
With the aim of honing 21st century skills in the students, our school has initiated
a series of skype session during the session. It provides an International Platform
to the students to interact with students around the world. To know their country
, students, education system and culture. Session started with a skype with US ,
Watt NTX robotics, where in students interacted with the team to understand the
basic of robotics, followed by session with Morocco school on "Earth day" , Healthy
food under project :Lunch Box Analysis , Waste Management with Srilankan and Pakistan
School.
TEACHER ASSISTANT PROGRAM-UK
Bridging gaps across the globe through teacher Assistant program program of British
Council. It is imperative in today's world to create global citizens who understand
transnational features and with this purpose a delegation from UK visited JKG International
school under the British Council Teacher Assistant program. Ms. Isabelle Neumand
and Liberty Hewitt are on official trip for 2 months to facilitate partnership
between two schools and to provide an open platform for new teaching strategies
and pedagogies along with an exchange of ideas. A traditional Indian welcome was
given to them by our school management, teachers and students.
International Summer School Program
Giving international dimension to regular curriculum JKGIS Vijay Nagar ventured
with its first International Summer School Programme with Felsted School (452 year
old tradition), UK from 9th July to 23rd July 2017.
Our student Aditya Kumar, V, accompanied by our Principal, experienced extreme warmth
and closeness through the concept of home hosting with 28 other countries.
Their visit to Thorpe Park, Cambridge College, Colchester zoo, Jumpstreet, Mersea
Outdoor adventure created rapport among them. Visiting iconic sites like The British
Museum gave them an insight into the social and religious solidarity of the country.
The visit to London Science Museum and Hyde Park provided an exhilarating and unforgettable
experience to them.
