Observing Swachhta Pakhwada (1st to 15th Sept.2018),a special assembly was conducted
on 1st September 2018,where in the students and teachers of JKGISV participated
enthusiastically in a mass pledge to maintain cleanliness all around to achieve
the objective of attaining a clean country and a clean world.
JKGISV organised a SWACHHTA PAKHWADA rally on 10th September, 2018 i.e Monday to
create awareness among residents on the importance of personal and environmental
hygiene.The rally flagged off from the school premises and covered the surrounding
areas of the school. Holding the banners, placards and raising slogans our Senior
wing and Rotary Interact club students and staff members visited the vicinity and
urged people to keep their surroundings clean. They interacted with people present
there, highlighting the need for making cleanliness and hygiene a habit. Our school
management encouraged the students to continue this zeal in future also.
Observing 13th September ,2018 as Water Harvesting Day in Swachhta Pakhwada, students
and teachers of JKGISV Senior wing spent morning hours in cleaning and maintaining
the Rain Water Harvesting tanks installed in our school in 2013-14. Students were
made aware about the concept and importance of rain water harvesting as it not only
meets the water supply but also plays a key role in environmental conservation
